Wildwood Flower is a very old American song. It has been passed down through generations, changing just a little each time, like a river winding through the countryside. When you play it, you’re stepping into history, sharing a song that people long ago loved and letting your listeners feel the same joy and calm it has always brought. It became extremely famous in the 1920s when the Carter Family played it. The song sounds gentle and flowing, like a flower swaying in the wind, which is probably why it’s called Wildwood Flower.
